AUTOCHROME OF FLOWER ARRANGEMENT An autochrome showing a flower arrangement. The image is glass mounted and is 3.25 inch square. Gold text on a black background reads, "Photographie des couleurs. Procédé de MM. Auguste et Louis Lumière". On the reverse is, "Marque de fabrique" and further text obscured by an adhesive label. The image shows strong colours. The autochrome process was invented by the Lumière brothers in Lyon, France in 1904 and began commercial production three years later.
